Join March of the Robots at the Breeze Arts Festival to create teams of motorised Doodlebots, then invent your own game to play with them!
First you’ll design and make a team of Doodlebots - little motorised robots who draw funny patterns. Then, using your imagination and a whole load of materials from the Scrap warehouse you’ll invent a game, or assault course, to play using your Doodlebots, before getting competitive and trying them out.
Bring along junk from home if you can – plastic tubs and bottles, bottle tops (clean ones!) – any bits of junk that might be useful when making or decorating your Doodlebot.
March of the Robots are on a mission to make 10,000 robots for Leeds - we're running lots of workshops and events that combine creativity and technology, culminating in a city wide celebration on the 26th October. Visit www.marchoftherobots.com to upload your robot creations and find out about future events! March of the Robots is a Playful Leeds project and this workshop is funded by the Breeze Arts Festival.
This event is open to 11-19 year olds. Places are limited so please book yours now. If you can no longer make it, please let us know so we can allow others to book it!
