TIME TO BE CONFIRMED

Countdown to the regulatory transfer of consumer credit and small business lending on 1 April 2014

At the end of February 2014, the Financial Conduct Authority will publish its final Consumer Credit Sourcebook and Policy Statement governing the regulation of consumer credit and small business lending from 1 April 2014. The timetable is extremely tight for the industry to check what changes have been made and put the necessary procedures in place.

This one day conference will include speakers from the FCA and industry. It will provide a comprehensive overview of the final regulatory regime and what action is required.

  • The final Consumer Credit Sourcebook – what are major changes?

  • What responsible lending procedures will companies need to have in place?

  • How will the Grace Period actually work in practice?

  • How will the FCA manage the authorisation process and what should lenders do now to prepare?

  • What responsibility will the FCA expect lenders to take for intermediaries?

  • Preparing for FCA regulation and thematic reviews

Who should attend?

Heads/Managers of Legal, Regulatory, Fraud and Compliance Departments, Business Development Managers and all staff responsible for the regulatory changes in consumer credit and small business markets.
