Mike Blake, Compliance Director PMI Health Group

He has far-reaching industry experience and expertise, from absence management, occupational health and wellbeing programmes to medical insurance and employee benefits.

Trusted by some of the UK’s largest employers to help cut the cost of employee illness, he is well versed in PMI Health Group’s uniquely holistic approach to managing and reducing sickness absence, thanks to an in-house team of occupational health physicians and a case management service underpinned by the expertise of its team of nurses.

During Mike’s time with PMI Health Group, he has been heavily involved in key account management and was appointed to the PMI Health Group board as Compliance Director in July 2008.

Event details:

Mike Blake, Director at healthcare broker PMI Health Group, looks at the ways in which new motivational tactics are increasingly being used by employers to encourage staff to take a more proactive approach to their own healthcare, including:

• The impact of the latest ‘lifestyle coaching’ techniques to change employee behaviour and overcome staff lethargy to personal healthcare
• How telephone coaching can be used in a more proactive way to keep staff fit for business with lifestyle consultants contacting employees, rather than waiting for employees to contact them
• How such schemes can be included in Employee Assistance Programmes for only £10 a head
• How ‘behaviour change’ can be used to get results in the workplace
• The importance of staff ‘knowing their health numbers’ (e.g. blood pressure, %fat, hydration, cholesterol etc) so that the data is input to their initial health risk assessment is accurate. This gets round on the fit people getting involved and gives a good snapshot of the health of the employee population

The session will last no more than 2 hours.
