Event details:

This Global Mobility session focusses on the tax issues associated with international assignments, follows on from earlier seminars on creating an expatriate salary package and how to draft the terms of an international assignment. Many assignees who remain on the home country payroll when they are assigned abroad are tax equalised which generally means that they are no better or no worse off from a tax point of view as a result of the assignment. However what is the HR team’s role in putting this promise into practice? What are the processes to follow for short term assignees, long term commuter assignees or long term relocating assignees? What role does the tax advisor play and other parties involved such as the home and host country HR teams. When should the HR team advocate tax equalisation and when should they seek other ways of handling the expatriate tax issues.

You can find directions to the venue here.

The session will last no more than 2 hours.
