Theoretical and practical training suitable for beginners in critical care and clinicians seeking to enhance their Non Invasive Ventilation Skills

		Facilitator: Kate Sykes RN BN Cert. IV Workplace Training & Assessment National Clinical Educator Kate has extensive experience in Emergency nursing and Education. Kate is passionate about extending high quality clinical education into rural and remote areas and has a particular interest in the care and management of respiratory illness.

		Facilitator: Jenene Galbraith RN BN MN (Critical Care) Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment Jenene brings to the team broad experience as a Registered Nurse, clinical educator and clinical trials coordinator. With her expertise and exposure to clinical areas such as CCL, CCU and CTICU, Jenene is committed to developing exceptional educational support services for customers.

Overview: Non-Invasive Ventilation Principles of gas exchange, indications and applications of NIV, CPAP vs BiPAP®, initiating, monitoring and titrating therapy, complications, masks and circuits, alarms and troubleshooting. Expectations: Pre-Reading is provided and it is expected that all participants will have completed the pre reading and answered all questions prior to the workshop. This will facilitate the uptake and understanding of theoretical concepts.
