The Women Veterans Information Conference has been held yearly since October 2005 in collaborations with the VA Greater Los Angeles Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (DRRTP) at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Building 500, Room 1281. This conference was originally created as one of the Women Veteran DRRTP alumni events. The conference is usually held from 10am – 3:30pm.  There are speakers from various components of service providers that serve the women veteran population.  This conference is to inform, empower, and inspire the women veteran community.  We provide morning refreshments, lunch, gifts, and extend an invitation to all to join AMVETS and all other Veteran organizations.  It is our goal for participants to leave the gathering with the following:

• A deepened understanding of how important it is to have resources available for women veterans
• Develop social, supportive and professional networks with other women veterans
• Fresh insight and tactics for accessing benefits
• Continue to network to support each other as women veterans
• Obtain information, awareness, and resources
• Recovery and Rehabilitation resources
• Healthcare benefits and Family re-unification resources
• Develop social, supportive, and professional networks with other women veterans that will assist with achieving educational goals
• To provide a network forum for women veteran, and active duty women
• To educate women veterans on their benefits and available entitlements 
• To provide links to resources to assist with employment opportunities and other resources
• To facilitate an open forum
• To provide women veterans with information on upcoming veterans/gender-specific events
