JOB OPENINGS

1. UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a creative and talented web designer with a solid understanding of user experience and modern web practices to join our team.

Your mission is to design user interfaces that are beautiful and practical, frequently to be applied in the context of usability challenges that are new and complex.

You will have a huge influence over the look and feel of our website and future APP. Your work will contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Website design: Define and maintain a visual identity for our site
  • Translate UX and Product inputs (sketches, flows, wireframes) into hi-fidelity designs
  • Work alongside developers to turn designs into production HTML/CSS

Skills required:

  • Strong sense of web design, UI, print design, layout and typography
  • Understanding of UX issues on the web, particularly user conversion processes, landing pages and presentation of complex data in a user friendly manner
  • Excellent knowledge of design tools e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Expert HTML/Photoshop skills; Ajax/Flash/Flex proficiency a plus
  • Demonstrable examples/portfolio of previous work
  • Working knowledge of XML/RSS

2. Community Manager

Pickevent is on the search for a driven Community Manager who is looking for an opportunity to create an entire community program from scratch. Your work will establish our brand, values and commitment to exceptional service with our growing community of users and event organizers.

The main focus of the Community Manager is to ensure the excitement, engagement and awareness of our service in our growing list of communities that we serve – starting here in London. The role requires you to be creative, passionate and knowledgeable on different social platforms, spending 30%+ of your time in events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Community voyager: You will have to spend more than 40% of the time in events and meeting attendees, spreading the word, bringing new ideas & helping existing and new users fall in love with Pickevent
  • Registering: Especially at the beginning, we will need you to list our company in many different websites so that people get to know it
  • Creativity: Create new programs and campaigns designed to drive awareness and excitement around the Pickevent brand
  • Communication: Work with marketing, product and engineering to flag any issues or opportunities in the product/community we need to be aware of
  • Writing: Write locally compelling blogs, tweets and capture what’s happening in our community weekly
  • Accountability: Prepare weekly reports on your progress and help the broader team establish best practices for all programs
  • Hiring & Management: As the program expands, assist in the hiring and management of a network of community managers across the country

Skills required:

  • 4-year college/university degree
  • 2-6 years experience as a community manager for a tech startup preferred
  • Experience with social networking, guerilla marketing tactics, and event planning
  • Experience with hiring & managing teams
  • Experience with budget management
  • Online presence and familiarity with social media
  • Solid writing background; experience blogging and/or editing
  • Commitment to making a difference and providing exceptional experiences to every member of our community

3. Digital Marketing and PR

We are looking for an outstanding online marketer who will help us attract, convert, and retain traffic, delivering high-quality leads to our event organizer clients through global online marketing campaigns.

This is an absolutely hands-on role and only candidates with rock-solid and direct experience in SEM, SEO and analytics should apply. As we expand, you should expect your position to grow and evolve, taking on new functions and delegating old ones.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, manage and report on online marketing campaigns
  • Lead and manage online and offline PR and marketing activities including search, advertising, social media, email, CRM, affiliates and partnerships
  • Maintain our presence in social media by engaging with users, clients, and the media
  • Manage external agencies across PR, advertising and affiliate marketing
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts (print, online, bloggers) to maximize Pickevent communications exposure
  • Focus on sales, profit and key KPI’s to deliver planned ROI targets and achieve exposure targets
  • Analyse & optimise all marketing channels and deliver timely, proactive management information via weekly reports
  • Support negotiations for commercial marketing agreements
  • Support marketing budget planning and manage spend in accordance with plan
  • Ensure marketing administration is organized and up to date

Skills required:

  • Proven track record implementing effective SEO strategies and using SEO tools
  • Proven track record running paid search campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with analytics programs, especially Google
  • Good technical abilities including use of e-marketing, social media, SEO and affiliate reporting and tracking tools
  • Pro-active and eager to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve Pickevent’ marketing and PR activities
